Get ready to get outside – and dine.
This spring brings multiple new destination patios across The Steel District, filled with unique vibes and delicious menus.

You’ll want to give them a try all day, beginning with new brunches, continuing through happy hour and definitely into the evening, when they’re lit up for evening guests. All patios offer full menus and table service.
Here’s a closer look at the outdoor dining you’ll discover at The Steel District – located along the Big Sioux River just south and east of Falls Park. Take Fourth Place off of Phillips Avenue and you’ll find us in no time!
Casual dining awaits outside Big Sioux Burger, where the comfortable feel inside extends to the patio. As for what you’ll eat – it’s all about the burgers. We suggest the Wedge, topped with lettuce, tomato, bacon, and blue cheese or the Nacho, topped with pico de gallo, tortilla chips, guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños. Pair it with a pitcher of beer for a classic summer grilling vibe, or choose one of the refreshing vodka lemonades for a bit more of a flavor punch!

If you’ve not tried the breakfast menu yet – that’s a must too. It’s served until 5 p.m. and offers classic favorites for all ages.
Inside the Canopy by Hilton, you’ll find destination dining designed for locals as much as guests.
The patio seats 90 and offers a serene, upscale escape adjacent to the Falls, where the full Italian-inspired menu is available and a specialty cocktail will help set the mood for a relaxing night.
You’ll find plush seating and a tasteful design, making it an ideal place to unwind or entertain anyone from clients to guests.

A new weekend brunch option includes unlimited Mimosas and runs on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll find signature dishes such as lemon ricotta pancakes, breakfast carbonara and crispy Brioche French toast along with a selection of Cascata’s pizzas, sandwiches and salads.
Plus, Cascata will be offering special brunches for Mothers’s Day and Father’s Day with other specials planned.
The vibe goes up a notch on the Dahlia patio, where you’ll find a casual atmosphere with delicious shareable food and drinks. At Dahlia, the patio is surrounded by beautiful flower planters and garage doors that open to the inside, extending the indoors outside. It’s the ideal place to meet some friends, share some appetizers and pitchers of beer, chips and guacamole and margaritas.

The food At Dahlia, there are lots of light and fresh options, perfect for enjoying a warm sunny day outside. From the three different guacamoles to the street corn salad, to a variety of tacos like the ceviche or tequila shrimp, there’s plenty of delicious bites that scream summer. Of course, don’t forget to add a margarita or pitcher of sangria for the ultimate summer vibe.
This weekend is the perfect time to stop by for Cinco Fest, which runs through May 5. Find $5 beers, seltzers, and cocktails. Choose from house and frozen margaritas, Modelo, Corona, High Noon tequila seltzers, and of course, tequila shots! Plus, Dahlia be featuring a variety of street-food inspired snacks like elote guacamole bites, chicken tinga flautas, mini gringo tacos, Mexican pizza, and more - all just $6 - $10. Enjoy DJs on Saturday and Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., patio games, a pedal-powered margarita station and much more.
And don’t miss the new brunch menu, featuring dishes such as dishes like Steak and Eggs Avocado Toast-adas, Pollo Verde Masa Pancakes, Churro Pancakes, Chorizo & Yuca Breakfast Crunchwrap and Holy Trinity Breakfast Nacho. It’s served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Enjoy an evening along Falls Park paired with an exceptional meal at Ironwood’s riverside patio.
Start your meal off with some fresh East Coast oysters on the half shell or a shrimp cocktail, followed by the Caesar salad and of course, a signature steak grilled over hard wood. Add a glass of rosé or sparkling wine for the ultimate steakhouse dinner outdoors.
And then, it’s not technically outdoor dining – but actually it might be the best of both worlds.

For a truly unique experience, don’t miss the upper level of Ironwood, where floor-to-ceiling windows open to Falls Park, giving you an outdoor feel while still comfortably inside.
If you’ve not yet discovered Ironwood’s destination steaks and seafood, they’re worth the visit alone, but give the newest brunch a try too. It’s a menu of elevated takes on brunch staples like
Quiche Lorraine, Diane Steak & Eggs, Smoked Salmon Cake Benedict and Bananas Foster French Toast. Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
